Lakes United Futbol Club

LUFC will be holding tryouts for the 2013 season on July 28^th for teams U9-U17 and July 29^th for U18 teams, at the Fenway fields in Forest Lake. If you are interested in playing traveling soccer during the 2013 season, it is imperative that you attend as we will be forming teams at this point. (This does not mean you are signing up for year round soccer. Although we do offer opportunities to participate year round, this is merely to form teams and get uniforms ordered.)

The tryouts will consist of two parts and both parts need to be completed to be considered for a spot on a team.

Technical – 16 separate technical tasks timed and tallied.

Tactical – 1v1, 2v2, small sided games (4v4) to large sided games (6v6-11v11 dependent upon age and numbers in attendance)

There will be two outside (neutral) evaluators and either the Director of Coaching, or the Boys/Girls Director, evaluating the teams during the tactical part of the tryouts. It will be from their scores that we rank the players.  The coaches will be invited to attend and assess the players in order for them to make their coach’s picks (where necessary).

Teams will be announced within 7 days (via email) and you will have a further 7 days to accept the placement. Upon acceptance we would require a $50 deposit as an agreement of intent. The remaining registration fee can be paid in full at that time or divided into equal payments from September - February.

There will be a non-refundable $25 evaluation fee per player ($50 family maximum) which will cover field rental, evaluator fees and general costs. Payment can be made electronically via the website (www.lakesunitedfc.org ) or on the day of the tryouts. No payment, No participation.  There is an additional fee of $10 per player to tryout for an additional age group.

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before tryout time to check in and allow the players time to warm up!
