Tournament Administrative Assistant Intern
Reports to Tournament Director or Tournament Committee
The Lakes United FC Tournament Administrative Assistant Intern position provides an opportunity for candidates to apply the skills they have learned in their undergraduate studies while gaining valuable experience. Candidates will work with a variety of individuals from board members and business owners to volunteers and the Director of Coaching. Be part of helping to ensure the long-term success of Lakes United FC and further our mission to make a difference in the lives of the youth we serve.
This position will be instrumental in promoting the Lakes United FC 3 games in 1 Day Tournament scheduled for Saturday May 31st. This is single day tournament attracts over 76 teams from throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin. Candidate will be involved in the promotion of the tournament, assembly of a tournament program and enlisting the financial support of sponsors and area businesses. On the day of the tournament will assist with registration.

The 2014 Lakes United FC 3 games in One Day Tournament is open to U9, U10, U11 and U12 C2 and C3 teams. The tournament is scheduled for Saturday May 31st with the Rain Make-Up day being Sunday June 1st. In addition to your regular games, you will be scheduled into our Penalty Shootout competition.
U9/U10 = $250
U11/U12 = $300

All teams must check in for the Lakes United Soccer Tournament at least 45 minutes before your first game. The Lakes United Soccer Tournament check-in will be open at the following times and locations:
Friday, May 30, 2014 open from 5:30 to 7:30pm at the Fenway Fields location only
Saturday, May 31, 2014, opens at 7:15 am
Severe Weather Date: Sunday, June 1, 2014 opens at 7:00 am
You will need to bring the following items to check-in:
Player passes (all players must have a valid MYSA player pass)
Coaches passes (all coaches must have a valid MYSA coaches pass)
Valid team roster (regular MYSA Official Game Roster – league play roster)
Medical Release Form for each player
MYSA Guest Roster form (if your team is using guest players, they must be MYSA registered at the same level or lower)
Each team must present their completed rosters, complete check-in and have paid their entry fee in full prior to playing their first game. It is recommended for ease of check in to have team roster, medical release forms, and player passes, in alphabetical order.

U9/U10: Columbus Elementary: 17345 Notre Dame St., Columbus MN 55025
Directions: From the intersection of 35E/35W and 694 go North on 35E or 35W until the 2nd Forest Lake exit which is Broadway (or CR 2). At the lights at top of exit turn left (west) and proceed approx. 1.5 miles until you get to Kettle River Blvd, go left and follow Kettle River approx. 1.5 miles to Notre Dame St. NE. Go right on Notre Dame St. NE and follow approx. 2 miles to Columbus Elementary on the right. Parking is on the south side of the school. Playing fields are back behind the school and playground to the east. Overflow parking is also available in the rear of the church parking lot near the SE corner. A trail leads south to the playing fields.
U11: Fenway Fields: 5530 206th St. N., Forest Lake MN 55025
Directions: From the intersection of 35E/35w and 694, go N on 35E or 35W until State Hwy. 97 which is exit 129. Go east on Hwy 97 about 1 mile to Fenway Av. N. Turn south/right on Fenway. At 206 th St. turn east/left. The soccer fields are south of the FLAAA Sports Center ice arena.
U12: Ki-Chi-Saga Park: 29061 Glader Blvd, Lindstrom MN 55045
Directions: I 35 W north exit Hwy 8 East (Taylors Falls exit) 12 miles to Lindstrom. Take a right at the Dairy Queen - Olinda Trial go 1.6 miles and take a left onto Glader Blvd. Go .8 miles. Park is on the right.
