LAKES UNITED
FINANCIAL AID
PROGRAM OVERVIEW & APPLICATION
Lakes United FC is committed to offering the highest quality programming at the most affordable price. We appreciate that not everybody can afford to pay the full fees, and as such, LUFC is committed to offering avenues for all players to play soccer. Making the game affordable for every committed player is a core value of LUFC.
Please review all of the following information and a link to apply is provided at the bottom of the page.
LUFC Financial Aid processes are guided by:
- Family needs
- Number of children in a family
- Number of players in LUFC Soccer
- Family Income
- Overall Financial Situation
Families are eligible to apply for LUFC Financial Aid through the LUFC website. All financial and personal information is considered highly confidential and this information is not shared with anyone outside the Financial Aid Committee. For the privacy of our applicants, all documentation provided will be destroyed or returned (upon request).
REGISTRATION FEES
- Each Lakes United FC Competitive soccer player must pay the $200 non-refundable registration fee deposit to play competitive soccer, payable at the time of registration. The only exceptions to this rule are:
- Extenuating circumstances affecting the ability of the applicant to make the above payment.
- Lakes United FC Financial Aid can assist with all fees but all players must register to be placed on a team.
FINANCIAL AID GUIDELINES
- Financial need must be demonstrated for consideration. Economic hardship will be the only factor in awarding Financial Aid. No one will be disqualified from consideration because of sex, race, color, creed or religious beliefs.
- ALL family members playing club soccer in TCSL or MYSA must be playing with Lakes United FC to receive the maximum available Financial Aid package.
- While we try to address as much of the need as possible, Financial Aid amounts will be based on the number of players demonstrating need, the extent of that need and the budget available for Financial Aid that year.
- Financial Aid awards will be reviewed on a yearly basis.
- NO player will receive a scholarship for 100% of their fees
- Awards are limited to 50% of the registration fee for the first child and up to 75% for additional children of the same household.
- Extenuating circumstances that warrant reduced fees of 75% or more for any single individual or all family members shall be communicated to Lakes United FC on the application form and those special circumstances will be reviewed by LUFC.
- A minimum of 6 hours volunteer time shall be committed to the club. Either the player or parent/guardian of the player may complete this volunteer time. These 6 hours are in addition to any other volunteer time required by the club or the team.
- Donation of customary services utilized by the club, such as printing of flyers, advertising, and other such services as beneficial to Lakes United FC may also be considered.
