TRAINING PLAN
Training groups will be by appropriate groupings, meaning that training groups will be combined ages and genders to provide an efficient training environment for both the players and trainers.
Training will be:
- Heavily focused on small-sided games in a structured training environment
- Coerver portion in April focused on individual technical skills
- Broad based aspects of the program balance both individual technical skills improvement, team oriented tactical play within the Lakes United FC philosophy.
- Key discussion points throughout the program will also hit on areas including sports performance knowledge and an often overlooked sports psychology side.
An estimated 22 training sessions!
FEBRUARY & MARCH
1 session per week (6 total) - Indoor futsal at LILA (Lakes Int'l Language Academy) gymnasium, or Lakes United FC Training Facility. Training provided by Lakes United FC staff coaches or staff trainers.
Sessions will be mid-week evenings on either a Monday or Wednesday between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Sessions will be 1 hour to 1-1/2 hours depending upon age group.
Final session times will be set based on age group registration numbers
APRIL
1 session per week (4 total) - COERVER TRAINING at the NSC Sports Hall. This training will be provided by Coerver Training MN!!
Sessions will be on Sundays between 2:00 pm & 5:00 pm. ALL sessions will 1-1/2 hours long.

1 session per week (4 total) - LOCATIONS DEPENDENT ON WEATHER CONDITIONS. Indoor futsal at LILA (Lakes Int'l Language Academy) gymnasium, Lakes United FC Training Facility, NSC Sports Hall or Goodview outdoor fields. Training provided by Lakes United FC staff coaches or staff trainers.

MAY, JUNE & JULY
1 session per week (8 total) - Sessions will be scheduled based upon the general competitive team training schedule.
Sessions will be 1 hour to 1-1/2 hours depending upon age group. Session may overlap with a player's regular competitive team training.
Sessions will be Sunday evenings at Goodview or one of the outdoor Forest Lake field locations.
ACADEMY GAMES & TOURNAMENTS
ELIGIBLITY
ALL players in the Academy Training Player Pool (those registered in the Academy Training Program) are eligible for the following additional competitive playing opportunities:
- Academy Select Tournament
- Those players in the program may be invited to participate in a tournament in a mixed age group. Example there may be a combined age group of 2009 and 2008 birth year boys to play together in a tournament.
- Selection/invite completely based on competitive balance, performance, and commitment to training. This is PERFORMANCE BASED.
- General Club members (not in the Academy Program) who have proven to provide a competitive balance may be invited if roster size requires a guest playing opportunity. Those members would have to "pay-to-play"
- TCSL League Games
- Those players playing on their regular Club team who are in the Academy Training Program and are displaying commitment to training, performance and we feel could use an additional competitive challenge in their development.
- Players would be "called up" or asked to play up 1 age group or at whatever level is deemed appropriate.
- Guest Playing Opportunities with partner clubs as needed.
The above additional playing opportunities ARE NOT GUARANTEED with registration in the Academy Training Program. They are by invite only for those players who illustrate a commitment to training, competitive balance and performance. Registration in the program guarantees additional training as communicated above only.
COSTS OF PLAYING OPPORTUNITIES
Costs of the above competitive playing opportunities are completely dependent upon the event. Registration in the Academy Training Program DOES NOT include the costs to attend tournaments, unless otherwise stated.
- Tournaments - Cost of tournament for the team divided by the players playing in the event equals the per player cost. Some invites MAY BE NO COST.
- TCSL League games - NO COST GUEST PLAYING
